I make an even worse effort for the late game, and only learn the result by text message. Italy go ahead early on against Ukraine, Gianluca Zambrotta the scorer, and go on to make it three when Luca Toni gets a brace. It sounds like an exciting game for a change, so I am annoyed that I have missed it.
On the plus side, I have been subjected to half an hour of terrifyingly brutal metal courtesy of White Boys For Gay Jesus, so it isn’t all bad.
